It is not a coating and it is not a wax. It is a physical layer thick enough to take a stone strike that would otherwise chip through to primer, and it is invisible once it is on.

Everything about how a clear bra looks in year three is decided by the edges. A film cut short leaves a visible line that collects dirt and eventually lifts. A film wrapped around the panel edge has nothing for the weather to get under.
So we wrap where the panel allows it and place the seam where it is not in your eyeline where it does not. That is the slow part of the job and it is the part worth paying for.
